How do I update my personal details and password?

Open Settings → Account to add or correct your date of birth, phone number and address, then select Save Profile. To change your password, enter your current password and the new one twice, then select Update Password; this signs you out on every device.

Step by step

  1. Open Settings, Account from the menu.
  2. Under Personal & Address Details, add or correct your date of birth, phone number, address and postcode.
  3. Your email address cannot be changed here. Once EasyTaxer has made a successful request to HMRC with your National Insurance number, it is locked too: if it is wrong, contact support. Under Tax Identifiers you can add your Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) if you have one.
  4. Select Save Profile. A message confirms your account settings are updated.
  5. To change your password, enter your current password, then the new password in New Password and Confirm Password, and select Update Password. For your security, this signs your account out on every device, including the one you are using, so you sign in again with the new password.

What happens next

  • Your email address cannot be changed here. Your National Insurance number is locked once EasyTaxer has made a successful request to HMRC with it: if it is wrong, contact support.
